Hundred Year Storm carries the listener away with sweeping multiple-part guitar melodies, floating back and forth between sparse and driving. The instrumental melodies remain in one's head, the inspiring choruses draw one to sing along, and the sound samples in the first and last songs (both instrumental tracks) add a beautiful finishing touch. Hundred Year Storm is honestly worth a listen. As one reviewers has already shown us, listening to music often requires a patient heart. No, these are not concise hard-driving songs, but neither does the band waste a single second. No song is too long if no part of the song is unworthy.

Excellent!!

Some people just can't appreciate songs that are more then 4 minutes in length... Unlike Radio tunes this kind of music takes you on an emotional roller-coaster! That allows the musicians to create an amazing atmosphere out of this world. This could not be done in 3-4 min lengths. The listener becomes embedded in the musical story like in track 12 that just gives you goose bumps! So if you like Angels and Airwaves, Sigur Ros, Bernard, or Explosions in the sky you will loves this band! I hope this has been helpful

emotional brilliance

After looking for a band like Explosions but with vocals, not that I don't like Explosions, I just wanted vocals set to this type of music. Enter Hundred Year Storm. This cd is amazing. The lyrics are simple and poised but deep. The music is moving and embodies all emotion. Only problem is the longer songs sometimes kind of take a different direction to the point you forget it's the same song. But overall highly recommended!!
