A unique, well-composed sound that is very fun to listen to!

This debut release from The Corners is a very well composed album, and a joy to listen to! These guys have a very unique sound- the closest band I can think of to relate their sound to would be Lealand, although vocally and lyrically they are much different. Every musician is very talented and stands out at different points on this album. From the booming bass drum and tight, complex drum beats, to perfectly timed bass slides, to creative piano or synthesizer contributions, to a well balanced guitar part with some sick solos, every member puts forward their best to create a sound that really is the sum of the parts. This is not one guy singing with the rest of the band playing backup. This is some serious musicianship and collaborative effort.

Every song on this album is very well put together. There are no songs that repeat themselves too much, or that sound the same the whole way through. In fact, not one song carries the same sound through the whole thing- they are all very dynamic, with highs and lows, build ups, and sudden drop offs. Not only is the musical composition excellent, but the lyrical composition really helps give this album some meat. The lyrics are deep, challenging, poetic, and very catchy. These songs WILL get stuck in your head.

Overall, this is an excellent album that showcases some serious talent and hard work. It will make you think, and truly is a lot of fun to listen to. I would highly recommend that you pick it up- you will not regret it!

Fresh sound...well worth the money.

The Corners debut EP titled The Hardest Questions is a fresh offering to the alternative scene. Lyrically and musically compelling The Corners' EP leaves you wanting more. I've watched this group from a distance over the past couple years as they evolved from the group called 'Andy Rhea and His Band" to birthing a new sound, look, and presence called 'The Corners.'

If you're looking for something fresh, upbeat, serious, and also something that makes you think then this EP is well worth the money.

Whether or not to buy this album is actually one of the easiest questions

This album is very pretty, and sets a great atmosphere for musings coupled with a cup of coffee. Definitely worth the buy.
