A great Roy album

This as a really well produced studio album showcasing some of Roy's great talent. Stanley Clarke on bass. Green Onions, Ramone's Blues, Done your Daddy Dirty are all great songs. His duo with Stanley Clarke on "the Adventures of Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby features fantastic playing .

Guitar On Fire

The title is from a Rhino Records compilation that included the prime cuts from Loading Zone, but you can now own the entire lp. This was a college favorite of mine that was often being bounced off of the walls of my dorm. I LOVE the diversity of songs. Stanlye Clarke is fantastic on bass. Roy is the Master of the Telecaster. His playing is a religious experience and confounds the comman man as to how he is able to produce sustain & fluid playing from his guitar. The man amazes me! My favorite tunes on this lp are "Ramon's Blues", "The Adventures of Brer Rabbit & Tar Baby", "The Heat of the Battle" and "Green Onions". Roy - you are missed!! Buy this now!!!!!
