iTunes Review

Miranda Lambert first cast herself as a dangerous woman, a lover once burned but no more. Her thirst for vengeance was as tough as this young Texan’s love. While she can still convey these truths with an impeccable country voice — a slight twang to a Southern accent that knows how to roll a vowel for its complete emotional content — it isn’t all she can do. Musically, her third album is more of what people enjoyed about her first two, with the songwriting getting ever stronger. The electric guitars cry rock ‘n’ roll, while the pedal steel throws things back over the country fence and the harmonies hold everything else in place. “White Liar” is the bulldozing opener that leads the way for the sweeter bounce of “Only Prettier” and the tender ballad, “Dead Flowers.” “Me and Your Cigarettes,” “Airstream Song” and “Makin’ Plans” are classic country, while “Maintain the Pain” uses some funkier-sounding guitars to shoot out her car radio. And she completely rocks out with manic banjo and guitar distortion for a cover of John Prine’s “That’s The Way That the World Goes ‘Round.”

Wow! :)

I became a huge fan of Miranda Lambert after her great album "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" was released in 2007. Her voice was so strong and energetic, I just couldn't let it go. Her hits "Gunpowder & Lead" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" prooved to America that she could sure pack a punch. She made the wild side of Country better then ever.
After hearing her single "Dead Flowers", it threw me off quite a bit. Don't get me wrong, the track is quite amazing, but I didn't hear Miranda's powerful voice as well as I did in her past albums. Lyrically, that track is simply outstanding. Unfortunately, it didn't quite have that Miranda spice that we all know in love. It was in it's own way a let down.
But after this album had come out, I realized the old Miranda hasn't left, she has just matured! Even though the rockin' Miranda doesn't appear as well as it did in her second album "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend", this album doesn't dissapoint. Miranda has taken up the 'Country' genre more than she ever has before, and shows her fans what she's really made of.
Tracks that are extremely pleasing are "Only Prettier", "Dead Flowers" (Even though I had negative thoughts on it before), and "Love Song". Miranda's lyrics shine in her new album "Revolution", and it's sure to satisfy many.
Miranda has grown up over a few years, but that doesn't change a thing. This new album is a must-have for any hard-core 'Country' fan.

Miranda is the Best

This is by far Miranda's best album to date. All of the songs are incredibly well written and she continues to be one of the best singer/songwriters in country music today. She deserves all the praise she's been getting for this record. I suggest you buy this album! It's well worth it!

Best Country Album This Year

I love it! Her songs are so true and beautiful with an edge. She has a kick-as5 voice, too! I highly recommend this album to anyone. SO much better than Taylor Swift's crap... Honestly! This is REAL music. Miranda Lambert is a real person.
