iTunes Review

Parts of Oddisee’s latest confront Trump’s America: “How you gonna make us great when we were never really all that amazing?” But the DC rapper sees little renewed cause for concern: “I’m from black America/This is just another year,” he raps on “NNGE”. Not that the familiarity of oppression blunts his fight. Over funky, soulful tracks, he addresses the sexism (“Hold It Back”) and police brutality (“You Grew Up”) that stifle his simple hope: “I just wanna be free.”

The best

Ever since I saw your name on a best albums of the year (2015) list on Reddit. I've streamed all of your Spotify/YouTube songs; id say probably 95% of the day's since then. Your words, beats, messages and just the phenomenal essence of your albums is far beyond most things I've listened to in my life. Keep putting "memories into melodies" as you would say and I look forward to all your future work!!!

Hope for Hip Hop

Oddisee evolves with each album...he music makes me nostalgic about how Hip Hop was and optimistic about how great it could still be.

Amazing album!

Underrated
