My First Procol Harum Way Back Then

This is the album that taught me to love Procol Harum. In 1974, FM Radio was still cool and would play the more obscure cuts from an album, and from more obscure groups. Procol Harum had both - a fringe group with obscure cuts. Exotic Birds and Fruit was played on the radio and I loved each song I heard from it. It still sounds good - I recommend this: It's fun, energetic, and very listenable (for a group that can be a little ... esoteric ... at times)!

Classic procol

I think this is the last of the really strong offerings from the group's initial run from 1967 - 1977. The one after this, "Procol's 9th" has some moments but is lacking and the last one, "Something Magic", is anything but. A lot of good songs on here including "As strong as Samson", which I consider a classic!!
