The first of many great albums to come from John Nemeth

I can't believe I'm the first to comment on this CD given that it has been around for 4 years now!! If you enjoy blues/traditional R&B music, do not forget this guy's name. I have seen these guys live a handful of times and they are better everytime I see them. Easily the best nightclub show I have ever seen. John is an amazing singer and harp player, there is not a note he can't hit, basically he can wail with the best of 'em. Bob Welsh, his newly acquired guitar player, is one of the badest blues guitarists I've see in recent memory also. John just won two nationwide blues awards and has a new CD coming out in Jan 2009. Keep your ears open, these guys are gonna be famous soon....

John Nemeth is an amazing talent and believe it or not he sounded like this when he was 16. He is a committed blues musician with a tremendous feel for soul and classic R&B. I was lucky enough to hear him early and often and he does a great live show. This is a self published CD which really displays his vocal and harp skills. The recordings have an "old" feel to them characteristic of his music. His song writing is quirky, humorous and steeped in blues and R&B tradition. If you think there aren't any great young blues musicians out there then check this out and catch him live.

He was 17 when a friend, Tom Moore, exposed him to the blues, and together they formed Fat John & the 3 Slims, which is still regarded as a legendary band in the Boise region. Németh began playing with the Junior Watson Band in 2002 as well as gigging with his own band, the Jacks. A vocalist with...
