Technicolor's 1998 debut One Touch Test Strip features pretty, spacious synth-pop songs like "Tinfoil Cloud," along with more dance-inspired cuts like "Forward, Forward," and drone pieces such as the album opener "3 Intro 1." The Tron homage "Escaping the Game Grid," the easy-listening-inspired "Intermission," and "Balance"'s shimmering bliss make the album an eclectic and enjoyable, if not especially innovative, collection of electronic melodies.
