A Great Woman and A Great Composer

Nadia Boulanger was a famous french composer, conductor, and music teacher. She was the first woman to conduct many famous symphony orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Her compositions are made up many vocal works and are amazing in their simple beauty. She was one of the true trailblazers who helped prove that women could conduct and compose as well if not better then their male counterparts. She was infinitely humble so I have no problem bragging for her, by saying this album is a must have for any strong woman or any man who's loved one. These album is part of a series by the US Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus. You should also check out this album in the same series. The Legacy Of Benny Carter
