Most epic Soilwork release to date!

This album is by far the best Soilwork album to date. The melodic highs and lows paired with classic and new age Soilwork vocals really pulls everything together. It is truly worth every penny, not just froma Soilwork fan stand point, but as one of the best albums this year.

This album is going to get me through my next marathon.

Breath of fresh air

I started listening to soilwork when natural born chaos came out and then went back and listened to the precious 3 albums. Have always been partial to a predator's portrait because of the aggressive and catchy guitar work. Moving forward, sworn to a great divide was considerably weaker then previous albums. And to me, the panic broadcast even with Wichers back as main writer, was lack luster and uninspired. Before the new album came out I has been hearing several excellent reviews. Still skeptical, as I had been disappointed with their last couple efforts. After one run through of the new album my faith in soilwork has been completely restored. Every musician shines brightly throughout the entire album. The intricate guitar lines from the likes of chainheart-portrait era are back and as clever and technical as ever. Combine this with the more atmospheric keyboards of recent albums, it works incredibly well. Dirk is a beast as always, and brings more to the table with his drumming than ever before. Easily the best performance from Speed I'd heard on any of the previous 8 albums. I believe any fan of soilwork old or new will really enjoy this incredibly crafted double album. I'm sure on the next several listens I will pick up more that I didn't even catch on the first go around. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 4.5/5

Swedish metal sextet Soilwork formed in early 1997, fusing the country's signature ultra-heavy death metal sound with the power-groove riffs of late-'70s, early-'80s British and European metal. Vocalist Bjorn "Speed" Strid, guitarists Peter Wichers and Ola Frenning, and drummer Henry Ranta were all veterans of the Swedish scene by the time they recorded their first demo, In Dreams We Fall Into the Eternal, in 1997; bassist Ola Flink became a permanent member afterward, as did keyboardist Carlos Del...
