Customer Reviews

Unoriginal, boring, overproduced, etc.

I'm not sure where all the glowing reviews are from - they must be from people who listen to nothing but top 40 radio and/or are die-hard Kerli fans. This is nowhere near as good as Love Is Dead, and although we knew from Army of Love and Zero Gravity that she'd left that bubble-goth sound, The Lucky Ones is a complete and utter disappointment. Seriously - just go listen to the radio, and you'll hear no difference between those songs and this one, even though Kerli's work should be better than this, at least based off what she's done before. As for the rest of the album... I'm not holding my breath. We've waited long enough for new material to come out, and I don't really want to be disappointed again.

Different Style For Sure

Although this is not what I was ever expecting from Kerli, I can dig it. I do hope she goes back to more ethereal-dark alternative music but we all need a super uplifting power anthem every now and then. I'm just glad her label's finally putting her stuff out there :) Moonchild for life. <3

What a waste of talent!

Kerli's original album was one of my picks for Top Five of 2008 - dark and brooding, yet also rockin' with some upbeat moments, it was a powerhouse of goth rock - this new pop diva direction she's on - what a kick in the nards... she was a great talent! Hate to see her turned into just another pop idol!
