Never Learned to Dance

The "voice" is still with him and us now - after all these years of a wonderful career - but way beyond it are the many qualities behind the voice that make Robbie O'Connell's work so valuable to us all. In a year when so many established stars have put out some real dogs, this re-release of this collection is just stunning for the messages he brings us and its musicality. It's been a long time between albums but the wait was worth it. Songs that stand out are The Turning of the Tide, So Near (which he could sing about himself) and The Singer. The fire of his politics is still there and his affectionate Irish humor that brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes almost every time I listen. Thanks, Robbie, don't make us wait so long and get out on the road soon for us all to hear you "live" again. Buy this grand album right now and enjoy.
