iTunes Review

From the start, the Marshall Tucker Band drew strength from the close personal ties among its members. These six Spartanburg, South Carolina boys poured their hearts into their self-titled 1973 debut album, and the results are evident track after track. Lead singer Doug Gray testifies with bluesy abandon, while bassist Tommy Caldwell and drummer Paul Riddle add supple jazz shadings to the rhythms. But it’s lead guitarist Toy Caldwell who defines the band’s sound here — his fluent playing on tunes like “Take The Highway” and “See You Later, I’m Gone” combines a virtuoso’s touch with a natural soulfulness. Throughout, there’s a palpable joy to the playing, as Toy and the band ascend into unfettered flights of improvisation. The spirit of the Deep South resonates in these tracks, but their appeal transcends any regional accent. The Marshall Tucker Band is a truly seminal work that helped define Southern Rock in the 1970s and beyond.

iTunes just doesn't get it!!!!!

C'mon!!!! 10 bucks to buy one song???? Tell Steve Jobs to log on right now and buy "Can't You See" for 99 cents - but guess what - he can't!!!! Maybe if he raises a stink and fires all of you marketing 101 geniuses - you'll figure out how to do a simple ROI on your silly lost revenue ripoff schemes and make money while giving us ever shrinking and skeptical iTune minions what we want!!! A simple 99 cent song!!!! You promise breaking, yellow belly, capitalist euro-tune playing idiots!!!! I can't wait to move over to a rival music service with the thousands of other fed-up shmucks and watch your corporate cubicles get repossesed before your Monday morning staff meeting catered by Starbucks.

Why Rip Us Off ILuney Toons

"Can't You See" Was one of Marshall Tuckers Band Best songs and you ruin it by making us try and buy the whole album? Your the one losing money as its easily downloaded off of Microsoft "Urge" and brought over to our overcharged 2nd Generation tinfoils.

Why Apple is becoming more and more like Microsoft

So...now i've got to buy the whole album just to get ONE song that I want? The whole appeal of Itunes and part of Apples' marketing of Itunes was to make music accessible for everyone. Apple heralded Itunes as the "end of buying a whole album only to find you like ONE song" program. Apple Itunes = SELLOUT. What a joke, I'm not buying.
