Where is Chat Bleu?

NY Times had a nice obit and photo. Too bad they didn't pay attention to Willy when he was still performing. t's a shame Chat Bleu isn't on iTunes. It must still be available in disc, if not in the US then in the EU.

R.I.P Willie De Ville

I bought this album in college, it's range and depth were a departure from the anthem infused music during that time. Rich in texture and character each song is a surgical tool in hands of this gifted musician as it burned in my heart the first night I listened to it back in 1983. It is a montumental testament to an artist and a national treasure who did not recieve the recoginition he so richly deserved in the U.S. Go with God, Willie, you will be missed.

Sadly a postmortem review,I have had this music for years and it always satisfies.Devilles' music is timeless and beyond compare! A wonderful blend of early sixties pop,Otis Redding funk,a heavy dose of heartache,a complex simplicity that never fails to please!
