EDITORS’ NOTES

The purity of Sarah Brightman’s soaring soprano, plus Michael Crawford’s expressive range in a very complex title role, gave unparalleled depth to the original production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera when it opened on the West End in 1986. No one has translated the pathos and pain of the Phantom better than Crawford. “All I Ask of You,” “The Music of the Night,” and “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” are timeless.

Great Deal

Years ago before music was available on itunes I would have recommended someone who wanted to purchase Music from Phantom of the Opera to buy The Highlights, but because the cost of an album is so much lower, you can now buy the complete soundtrack for what the Highlights would have cost as a CD. So, I would highly recommend this album, which is a necessity for any Broadway fan. Oh, and of course, this recording featuring Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman is far superior to any hollywood attempt.

One of the Best!

If you have a "Musical Soul", this wonderful masterpiece will take away your worries and fears and make you care free. It is the one of the best musicals on screen, and even better on the stage. This is the closest will we get to seeing the play or the movie.
