I like Capella Istropolitana's Bach

This is a very good performance of the Musical Offering. It is not quite as flashy as Sir Neville Marriner's celebrated recording in the late 1970s, but then again this performance scores points over Marriner's just for using a much better text of the trio sonata. (Marriner's goes by the Bach-Gesellschaft text, which as Hans T. David pointed out more than half a century ago has serious errors in that sonata.) I also liked the decision of Capella Istropolitana to have the full body of strings play both Ricercars, which very effectively opens and concludes the recording. A very worthy reading of Bach's "offering" to Frederick the Great.
