iTunes Review

Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio’s side project isn’t altogether different from his day job: Eclectic, light-hearted, plenty smart and just a little weird. Showcasing a flair for cheeky romanticism and airy, Balearic-style dance production a la Hot Chip, The Names takes listeners on trips through London’s Tate Modern (“Endless Rhythm”), Roxy Music homages (“Sister of Pearl”) and whimsical memoir (“I Was Born in a Marathon”) in a way that feels as personal as it does cosmopolitan.

Customer Reviews

It is what it is

Until it is what it was. So just keep on swinging, if only because cus cus.

This music reminds me of The Talking Heads and then it doesn't. Somehow I think the album will live up to all my random expectations. The first three singles surely have.

Bravo Baio

Thank FIFA 16

Love the song. If not for FIFA 16 I prob would have never listened to it.

The 1980s Revisited???

As an earlier reviewer mentioned, it reminds me of the Talking Heads. Good instrumentation and catchy tunes with a touch of melancholy. Bravo!!!
