iTunes Review

The Features play to all their strengths on their eponymous fourth release. Confident and assured after 15 years together, the Nashville quartet commands multiple styles. Buzz-saw guitar riffs, a palette of synths and keyboards, and dramatic vocals anchor bouncy pop (“With Every Beat”), indie rock (“Rotten”), and classic new wave (“Ain’t No Wonder,” “Phase Too”). Standouts include the dance floor funk standout “This Disorder,” the casually infectious “Regarding PG,” and “Won’t Be Long,” which provides the best fist-pumping moments. The electronic influence is higher than usual, but the inclusion of so many synth hooks works to expand the band’s sound just enough. Relentlessly catchy and crisp, this is a solid collection played with energy and style.

A review from the future!

The Features, with this album, will unite the world into a thousand years of peace. Adolescents will not longer be forced to attend a prison cell called High School, instead they will listen to The Features' new album and the vibrations from the Transylvania like keyboard will release a lethal, but yet potent amount of DMT from the pineal gland, causing all young adults to become omnipotent and tap into their inner creativity instantly. This chain reaction will exponentially change the world. Sasquatch will also hear the sensitive, but yet aggressive vocals, and will show himself to the public and also announce that PBR is officially terrible and makes people look stupid. The music from this album will also make Tommy Lee Jones cry, which is crazy. This is a message from the future.

It nourishment to the ear canal.

Embrace the awesomosity that is The Features! If you don't like these guys, I have to believe you have absolutely zero taste in music.

Listen...Buy It...Love It!!

Great album you guys!! Can't wait to see them live in Austin at the end of May!!
