Album Review

The soulful duo of Mercedes Martinez and Tracey Moore, nurtured with a record contract, production expertise, and backup playing by the Roots, contribute a solid record of hip-hop soul that simultaneously looks to the past as well as the future. The grooves are chunky and well-fed by the Roots' experienced players, while Martinez and Moore trade vocals and raps on standout tracks like "The Wound."

Great album!!

These ladies have come a long way since thier Pharcyde days. This a great, mature sounding album. Breakthough is my favourite cut on the album. Real slow, soulful jams.

Good!

I can't believe iTunes would categorize them in Hip-hop/rap. These ladies are R&B/soul singers. If you haven't heard of them then you need to buy this cd and listen because you are missing out.

More Jazzyfatnastees - please!!!

I am wondering when will itunes add their second album of "The Tortoise and the Hare", so that others can be exposed to their nice melodies.
