Surprise & Delight from First Track to Last

From the laid back, syncopated grunge riff and sweet 'n sour vocal that opens Double Down, through the wall of sound, head snapping anthem that is Fever Doggs, and finishing with the strong, soulful, and acoustic (?!?) Travel Bug, "The Pact" is Slothrust's most complex, evolved, and best album to date. Leah, Kyle, and Will have never been better, tighter, and more accomplished, and their time in the studio pays off in a polished production that captures both the band's raw energy and playful virtuosity. This is Slothrust redefined: everything you love about what they've been, and a first look at three extraordinary musicians who are determined yet to become. To paraphrase the great Neil Young, Slothrust never sleeps.

Fantastic songwriting

Was hooked after sampling the album, knowing nothing about them. The Pact has a big sound with some loud and fast tracks that give way to slower and more fragile slow songs in the latter half. Catchy as hell all around, but with enough quirks and odd chord changes to feel fresh. And I just love the lead singer’s androgynous voice.
