When I heard that Lou Reed was going to turn several stories and poems of Edgar Allen Poe and set them to music the project certainly intrigued me and it does have a couple descent tracks but overall I was disappointed. I am a huge Lou Reed fan and believe he has done enormous work to keep music "mature" by dealing with subjects that most muscians would not touch with a ten foot guitar pic such as death in his magnificent Magic and Loss or his great album New York. I never lose faith that Lou Reed will create another masterpiece in the foreseeable future.
