Customer Reviews

This band wins my "Best Find of 2007" award. This EP has been playing over and over in my home for the last two months since I bought it, and I still love it. "Hard to Believe" and "Just Wait" are my favourites, and, I believe, truly the essences of the album. I get a bit tired of "Do You Realize??" sometimes, but I do love it too. Give this EP a listen; see what you think!

True musical perfection!

The Reign of Kindo is made of 5/6 of the original members of a group called This Day & Age, one of my favorite bands ever. This Day & Age made genuinely beautiful music -- The Reign of Kindo made even more beautiful music, and their EP is a goldmine of musical genius. Listen to the flawless transition between "Set the Stage, Cue the Music" and "Needle & Thread"; flawless transitions is the name of the game. Each chord of music is perfectly crafted and entwined to make music that (no lie) makes my ears feel like they're hearing music for the first time. It's fantastic. "Hard to Believe" is a favorite of mine for the jazzy chords and style, but I can't say a bad thing about any of these tracks. Don't waste time buying one or two tracks. Buy the whole EP, and thank me later -- you just made the best musical decision of your life.

Let it Reign!

This is probably one of the most unique bands on the scene today. Now, I wouldn't call myself a jazz aficianado by any means, but I do appreciate good talented musicians making good music -- and that is exactly what The Reign of Kindo is about. Each track is so unique that literally anybody could find something that they like in this short 5 1/2 song EP. All I can say is BUY THIS EP and give this band some well deserved attention (and $). Amazing.

Formed: Buffalo, NY

Years Active: '00s

Following the departure of their lead singer and guitarist in late 2006, the remaining members of the Buffalo-based atmospheric pop combo This Day and Age regrouped under the name the Reign of Kindo. Bassist Joey Secchiaroli stepped out front, assuming lead vocal and guitar duties; his old slot was filled by new bassist Jeff Jarvis, who joined guitarist Mike Carroll, pianist Kelly Sciandra, and drummer Steve Padin. The Reign of Kindo's music was altogether jazzier than its predecessor's, maintaining...
