Album Review

The tenth studio long-player from the Swedish melodic death metal unit, the Nuclear Blast-issued The Ride Majestic is the much anticipated follow-up to Soilwork's acclaimed 2013 double album The Living Infinite. Produced by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Kreator), the 11-track album, which coincides with the group's 20th anniversary, picks right up where The Living Infinite left off, with vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid describing what lies inside as "slightly darker, atmospheric and almost anthemic, with some really interesting twists and turns."

Killer

I love the Living Infinite.... This seems like it could be a continuation of that same sound scheme. Lightning fast drums, guitars, and vocals with melodic leads and vocals with catchy chorus'. This is gonna be awesome, I cannot wait!!!

Slightly Disappointed

Upon hearing the first single I was excited for this album. After I listened to it in its entirety I am slightly disappointed. Vocals and Drums are all there but something falls short with the riffing and song writing.

Weird

Some good stuff on here . That being said some of the tracks ( 2,3,4 in particular ) just try to hard to do .....something ? Soilwork is the best band in the world but the songwriting on this one misses much . Thanks though for trying to innovate . Not easy 10 albums deep .
