iTunes Review

No difficult second album here. Just blistering, swashbuckling tunes. Fittingly for a band that earned notoriety playing parking lots outside other bands’ gigs, there’s a fearlessness to the British four-piece’s follow-up to 2014’s rollicking The Balcony. Its first half is a masterclass in exuberant, let-tonight-last-forever indie—“Twice” and “Soudcheck,” in particular, were built for raucous festival crowds—before two gems glisten on the home straight. “Glasgow” and “Heathrow” are both gorgeous and reveal a softer, melodically piercing side to a band breaking confidently into its stride.

i just preordered it but i know its perfect

Took my breath away, but I didn't care Bc oxygen is overrated

I'm in love!

I discovered this band a little after their debut album came out. I fell in love instantly and can honestly say I have listened to the Balcony AT LEAST three times a week since. I had very high expectations for The Ride since Van had mentioned in an interview about how he favored The Ride. Needless to say, I'm ever so pleased with this release. Both albums are absolutely class. To any new fans debating on which one to purchase, buy them both. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Thanks for creating such masterpieces, boys.
