Album Review

This one's split equally between Irish and Scottish material. Billy McComiskey (accordion, concertina) and Myron Bretholz (bodhran) add an Irish touch to arrangements. It's wonderfully played all-round.

Fresh

I truly enjoy everyone one of Sue Richard's pieces. I bought this particular album (and Grey-Eyed Morning) over 20 years ago at a Celtic shop in Saratoga Springs NY. It was on cassette. Since that time, I've moved several times and the cassette was lost. I couldn't remember the exact name of the artist or the cassette, but I remembered the music. I was so happy when I finally found it here on iTunes and I've purchased her music again! It is beautiful music. So much of modern celtic music is infused with artificial instrumentation; this is the real thing. The harp is magnificent!
