I have never listened to Arjen's projects until "The Day That The World Breaks Down" showed up in my YouTube feed. After listening to that song and seeing the list of singers, I immediately preordered the album. I mean, come on...Tommy Karevik, Nils K. Rue, Russell Allen, and this Michael Mills guy...he is insane! Arjen's musicality is refreshing, and I can hear Rainbow-esque, and other 70's and 80's prog rock influences, throughout this fantastic album.

A dynamic masterpiece that is littered with talent, you owe it to yourself to buy it. If you like Rainbow, Pink Floyd, Styx, E.L.P., Zepplin, or any modern progressive, story-telling music, you will not be disappointed! Buy it! BUY IT!!!

Another Spectacular Chapter!

This is a brilliant prequel to "01011001", and you can hear some of the same motifs from that album. It rocks, it relaxes, and it drives the story forward! Can't stop listening, and you always learn new things about the story each time you listen to an Ayreon album! This isn't a "listen once and done" experience. Now here's hoping we get a sequel to "The Theory of Everything"!

Can't wait til April. Having a single out now is too much of a tease! I'm so happy Arjens career threatening surgery worked out well and another chapter of this great story is coming soon

Ayreon albums are usually large-scale concept epics and sometimes rock operas, in the latter case featuring a different vocalist for each character. Lucassen formed Ayreon in 1994 and released its first album, The Final Experiment,...
