Definitely great sound and voice. Only problem I have with it. Nearly every song has the same drum beat to it.. Very repetitive

Rob Jungklas is one of the best songwriters of all time. On "The Spirit and the Spine" he continues to write songs exactly as he wants to...with smart, introspective, personal lyrics and perfectly matched music that lay his emotions bare. The raw emotion that he tapped into on his earlier works, "Gully," "Arkadelphia," and "Mapping the Wreckage," takes it's natural progression forward on this new album. Not only should everyone own this album, but they should find everything this man has done, buy it, and listen often.

About Rob Jungklas

Memphis-based rock singer/songwriter Rob Jungklas issued his debut LP Closer to the Flame in 1987; the more reflective Work Songs for a New Moon followed two years later. ~ Jason Ankeny
