iTunes Review

Six years after her last English-language studio album, 2006's Loose, Nelly Furtado continues to seek inspiration from the club beats and techno-influenced productions that brought her to national attention, but with additional approaches that smooth out her sound. "High Life," which features a perfectly set rap from Ace Primo, best illustrates how Furtado and producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jenkins work a variety of guests and styles into a mainstream sound. Nas joins in for "Something," produced by Salaam Remi, who also handled the board duties for a duet with Sara Tavares on the glorious, dreampoppy "The Most Beautiful Thing." While these special guests add an extra boost, Furtado does just fine on her own and says much about her natural abilities amongst all the technology. "Bucket List" has a melody that's simply gorgeous. The album's closing track, "Believers (Arab Spring)," is a dramatic anthem that rocks, bounces, and expresses the triumph of the human spirit.

Once again Nelly Furtado has returned with something entirely different. Nelly always has released something unique from her previous album, and on average something different than the rest of the artists on the scene. She has always been incredible. You never know which direction she will go in next, but I always am sure that I'll love it. This time is no different than those before. She, alongside Christina Aguilera and Ciara, are some of the few artists who do what they want despite whether or not it will be successful. Each and everyone of Nelly's releases have been worth purchasing, as they all have included several incredible songs. Each of her releases has showcased her unique talent, and as I said before this one is no different in that respect.

I loved it!

Not a big fan of Nelly. But this one is so good. I recommend y'all to buy it.

Love this album!

Haven't gone through every single track yet but this is definitely on of the best albums released this year.

When Nelly Furtado appeared with her neo-hippie, multiculti debut, Whoa, Nelly!, in 2001, a dance-diva makeover seemed like an impossibility, but the singer/songwriter revived and sustained her career with the sexually charged Loose in 2006, in the process consolidating her position as one of the most unpredictable artists of her decade. Furtado always proudly displayed her Portuguese heritage, a distinction that separated her from legions of emerging female singer/songwriters in the early days of...
