EDITORS’ NOTES

There’s zero evidence of Nero’s D'n'B origins on this glossy second album of EDM. They may have started life in a flurry of hi-hat breaks, but the London-based trio soon morphed into a formidable dubstep crew. Between II Worlds picks up where their chart-topping 2011 debut, Welcome Reality, left off—dealing in maximalist, bone-rattling bass music crested with Alana Watson’s airy, hook-laden vocals. Expect glitchy beats on “It Comes and It Goes,” fizzy, dopamine-inducing synths on “Circles,” and epic drops on the album’s cinematic, industrial-sized title track.

Not Fair

Welcome Reality makes it hard to listen to "Between II Worlds". You could over lap her voice from track 1 to about 8 other tracks and it would fit. Too much mundaneness/ repetative.
