Outstanding Listen!

Wil Maring and her music partner guitarist and fiddler Robert Bowlin prefer the privacy and peace of southern Illinois near the Mississippi River, or they would be nationally famous. Robert may be one of the best guitarists anywhere in any genre, and Wil is a singer-songwriter in a class of her own. Together they make some exceptional music and this is probably the best example of what they are doing together in this decade. My favorites are the touching perforamce of Sunny Side of the Mountain, usualy done as a breakdown, and the words she put to the classic fiddle tune, St. Anne's Reel.

I love all types of music but... Wil Maring is becoming my favorite

I have never heard lyrics that touch your heart and change your mood like Wil Maring. She is awesome. I only have "The Calling" so I ordered two more of her CD's for Valentines Day. I heard her perform in Van Buren, MO at the Rosecliff Lodge. My whole family loves her lyrics and her voice. I wish she would come closer to St. Louis, MO or Belleville,IL or Waterloo, IL. Carson, IL is a little far to go.
