Customer Reviews

Whoa, PROG!

Yeah baby. These Frenchies know exactly what they're doing. The cheapo sounding production being seemingly forcefed to a giant space-echo reverberation machine is all just a facade, something truely different lies underneath. Refocus your eyes. This is truely synth-tastic. This is extremely futuristic. This is art, being sent through a woodchipper. You will love it.

Intense and fantastic

First starting off as a strictly symphonic black metal act (as heard on their infamous debut Anthem To The Glory Of The Great Octagon), Ufych Sormeer have come a pretty long way to deliver this new sound of theirs they've been cooking up for years... but describing it isn't the easiest thing to do. While still retaining their symphonic aspects through keyboards and other synthesized miscellania, they've incorporated hints of thrash, power, death, prog, avant-garde and considerably math metal into this unique formula, with a big emphasis on the prog. On top of it all, Crazy M.A.C. is a big old concept based on a location that doesn't even exist in real life. If this doesn't satisfy your nerd cravings for sci-fi and just plain-old 'Epic' metalin general, I have no idea what will. This album is fantastic.
