The B-52’s are entertainers in the purest sense, alive with energy and the power to move the listener to an entire new planet if not happy mood. To many danceable music in the late 70’s meant disco but The B-52’s proved that theory wrong. They were simply the most enjoyable New Wave band of their time and still are a delight. Those not familiar with the groups’ work my see these videos as if they were made 100 years ago but remember MTV had not started yet, video for non-tv studios was just starting to become affordable and if you had any sense of style you were wearing thrift store clothes. Unlike the expensive overproduced Hollywood grade music videos of the past 20 years these video’s are artistic, raw and most of all original and entertaining.
