iTunes Review

Michael and Brian D’Addario welcome you into the ecstatic and wonderfully odd world of The Lemon Twigs. Their debut album is a joyous treasure trove of musical curios, from the baroque surf-pop of opener “I Wanna Prove to You” to “Hi+Lo”’s kaleidoscopic rock opera. “These Words”, meanwhile, is a barmy alt-anthem so fabulous it indulges itself a mid-song xylophone solo. Which almost perfectly sums up this endlessly exciting record.

Cool stuff!

I saw them on Jimmy Fallon and was blown away by their unique sound. I am an older guy who doesn't often find new music that interests me but these guys are great. I downloaded the whole album and have been exploring it ever since. Keep up the good work Lemon Twigs!

Original music that's good is hard to find. Twigs draw on rich history of pop music and make it their own. Fun and interesting are the keys to their sound and live performance. You'll hear McCartney, Beach Boys, Big Star and Foxygen influence in their songs. My favorite is " I Wanna Prove To You". Saw them open for Sunflower Bean in November '16 - looking forward to see them headline in February!!

Best Album I've heard in a long time

Never having heard of these guys, was drawn to the perfectly retro cover art, intrigued by the I Tunes description, and sold after a quick sampling.

One of the best albums I've heard in a very, very long time. It's like Beach Boys meet psychedelia with the slightest dash of grunge, and even a hint of show tunes mixed in.

If you're a fan of things that are awesome, it's a must.

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '10s

Channeling the baroque rock of the '60s, Long Island brothers Brian and Michael D'Addario started the Lemon Twigs while they were still teenagers. Like their father, Ronnie D'Addario, the siblings played multiple instruments, counting guitar, keyboards, drums, horns, and strings on their list of proficiencies. In addition to Harry Nilsson, Todd Rundgren, Big Star, and Brian Wilson, the D'Addarios counted the Beatles, Wings, and the Zombies as major influences. Hints of contemporary artists like Sunflower...
