Another Forgotten Canadian Band

NORTHINVT

I used to hear this band on the main Montreal radio station(rythmes with "dome") in the early 1980's. Without the Internet, you could only get this as in import, which means $$$$$.They should have been bigger, and while the review may compare them to Loverboy, I like Harlequin a lot more. Listen to "Thinking of You" and "Innocence" and say those songs don't rock. You won't be able to. Easily worth the money.

About Harlequin

Bassist Ralph James formed Harlequin in 1975, adding vocalist George Belanger, guitarist John Hannah, keyboard player John White and drummer Denton Young. The Winnipeg-band was signed by Epic four years later, beginning a string of Canadian hits with "Survive." As the band progressed, Glen Willows replaced Hannah, Gary Golden took over for John White and David Budzak took Denton Young's place. Harlequin's albums include Victim of a Song (1979), Love Crime (1980) and Harlequin's Greatest Hits (1986). ~ John Bush
