Customer Reviews

Awesome Album!!

This album is SOOOO AWESOME!!!! The last one (This Is Christian Dubstep 2012) was good. I liked a most of the songs. But I can honestly say I LOVE all these songs! And, since I have always appreciated it when people do reviews on each song, sooooo... With that being said, Let's go down the list.

Onnyx—Slay The Dragon(through the Spirit)
I have been a big fan of Onnyx since the last TICD album and super excited to hear new music from him.
He's stayed true to his style this time. (a style I happen to love) the synths and I also happen to particularly love heavy kicks and bass, which you get in abundance with this track. Also, if you haven't already you should check out his newest EP Aethertwisting.

The awesome thing about compilation albums like this is that you get so many different styles, all equally awesome! Heartforged is very good at that Industrial Dubstep sound. From the deep grilling bass, to the heavily reverb-ed synths and strings, this track is EPIC!

Matthew Parker—Golden City
Gosh.... Where should I start! Where can I start! SOO AWESOME!! It Literally leaves me in AWE at how amazing this song is!! I have to say, in my opinion, Matthew Parker is one of (if not) the best Vocal Chopper!!!
And his skills with EDM is extraordinary! And on top of that, his lyrical and vocal ability is just splendid! I have had the opportunity to chat with Matthew a bit and he is a really nice guy (not to mention humble) and super talented. Golden City is VERY high in my favorite EVER list.

Clique 3: 16—Headbang
Dubstep and Rap. Two of my favorite Genres. And Clique 3: 16 mixed them! Result: EPICNESS!! This guy as a rapper alone is amazing and his ability with Dubstep/Electronic makes it ten times better! An awesome addition to This is Christian Dubstep 2013.

Chad Franklin—Rock the Bass
Chad is another artist on this album that I have the privilege to chat with. And quite frequently actually. He is a really nice guy and always has suggestions and tips for young artists like AllThings4Good and I.
Ok. To the song. This song has got a really heavy beat to it. And I, personally, love that! Carful when playing it on big stereo speakers though, the kick alone might overwhelm your sound system. The glitchy style of it is very well executed. I love glitchy things. Glitchy vocals, glitchy bass, even glitchy drums. So this song is well into my favorites.

Re5a—Light of the World feat. Sarah Silva
Re5a is an artist that unfortunately I have not had the privilege to get to know, but his song is awesome! Anyone who knows me knows my favorite kind of Dubstep is vocal dubstep. So you can understand my enjoyment of this song. Nice vocals, awesome bass and synths, an awesome track.

This song is awesome because, like Re5a's, it has awesome vocals and a great message. Another thing I really like about this song is the frequent use of that quick bass stab thingy. Very well placed in this song. And, a few of the bass "wobbles" sound almost like there underwater or something, probably thanks to a vocoder. I'm not sure if he did it on purpose or not but it goes along very well in keeping with the "drowning" theme. Very cool.

Re-think—Behind the Mask
This song is SOO cool! If I had to pick one of these songs to be a battle song it would be this one. The vocal clips in there are so cool and then you've got those awesome bell sounds going on, then you throw in some epic dubstep stabs(that's what I'm gonna call 'em from now on) in there and you've got yourself an AWESOME song! The song just.... Makes me feel courageous! I don't know how else to explain it. I love melodramatic dubstep and this is one of the best I've heard. Love this song.

FBjr.—How We Dance
Like I said before, the awesome thing about compilations is that you get so manny different styles. This song is SO different from Re-Think's. So fast paced, so happy sounding, the only way these two are similar is how equally awesome they are! The vocals in this track have some cool effects on them. Makes 'em sorta autotune/glitch sounding. You can't really hear it in the preview but it's cool. Then the drop is really cool because, it goes from this like, moderately calm almost starry sound to extreme rave party! And I love it when songs do that. So much fun to dance to. Dancers, take notice ;)

Oiwolf—March feat. Lee Mcrae
ok, lets start with the vocals. the guy really is a pretty good singer. in a few ways he kinda reminded me of David Crowder Band. And I love how there's a little autotune thrown in there. I have to admit I'm a pretty big fan of autotune(if you hadn't already noticed) so that's a bonus for me. Then the whole drop and bass is awesome! Not only is it glitchy bass, but there're some well placed strings too. Which I also really like. Really good song.

Bridj is, what I would call, a synth master. Those little blips and chirps and arps he does practically steal the show. I'm still trying to figure out how he did most of them. And the drop is epic! The bass has that gritty, rough sound to it. And with those epic synths backing it, you've got an awesome song! And everyone knows that completely random vocals clips are the best.

Ayrun—Silenced Voice
This is another one of my absolute favorite! Like I said before, it's got a starry calm sound to it, then it goes into extreme overdrive. I have never heard anything like that bass he's got going there! The way it like fades in. So very cool! And it has those dubstep stabs in there too! Such cool sounds in that song it's crazy! This song would also be really fun to dance to! Awesome song.

So yep. There you go.
The best thing about all of these guys, is the fact that they use their talents and abilities for the glory of God! That is so awesome! And It's wonderful to see so many new artists on this album! Not to mention extremely exciting watching GnD Records and the Christian Dubstep/electro community grow! I can't wait till next year!

This is great!

This is just awesome. Even if you arent a christian, this dubstep is amazing. My favorite songs on here are Drowning by liberatingpulse and Behind the Mask by Re-Think!! Great job!

In the 28th day of the fifth month I siiO2 by the order of TICD hereby declare this album... Super Good Beans Friends!
