the best album i ever heard in my life.... excellent

Good album but more cabaret than "blues"

Itunes has put this in the blues category which makes not a lot of sense to me. It has a few blues songs (Sugar in My Bowl, Nightlife and Long Gone ....) but at least as many pop or standards (like Stars Fell, Almost Blue, Sunny Afternooon, South of the Border, etc.). I think it is best classified as cabaret, although Itunes doesn't have that category. The best songs IMO are Sunny Afternoon, Stars Fell and Long Gone and Nightlife. Her voice is sweet, a little light but with good styling. Tempos tend to be mid to slow, some have a Latin style rhythm section. Cabaret/jazz band arrangements. Enjoyable overall.

retro yet original

Ingid has a Billy Holiday-esque tone yet a style of her own. Cool idea doing a swingy version of Sunny Afternoon by the Kinks. Sugar in my bowl is good and Kiss of Fire is is absolutely Fab - and not a commonly done tune. As a singer myself, i like the way she skips some of the lyrics in Kiss of Fire to make it more interesting and more singable. She's got a sexy laid back sound goin on .
