I love it

I love Trent Dabbs and I love everything he does. There are people who write songs because they think it's an easy paycheck if you can just find the right rhymes. Then there are songwriters like Dabbs (and for that matter the whole Nashville scene he's affiliated with) who know no other way of expressing a thought or feeling unless it's by song. Beautiful, peaceful, chaotic song. I mean, I don't want to speak for him here, I know I don't know his heart... but I can hear it. And I love to listen to it. And I think that at the end of the day, that's all a true songwriter asks for; your ears.

I'll keep listening as long you keep turning it out, Trent.

Singer and songwriter Trent Dabbs was raised in Jackson, MS, but has been based in Nashville, TN, for his professional career. Working out of a kind of Southern gothic Americana style with pronounced Big Star-like overtones, Dabbs recorded his solo debut, Quite Often, with producers Dennis Herring and Clay Jones, and it was released in 2004 on Herring's Sweet Tea imprint. The album received a good deal of positive critical attention, and songs from it appeared on the soundtracks to television shows...
