Stellar, indeed!

This album could easily be the soundtrack to a stellar journey at the Hayden Planetarium. Or you could simply close your eyes and embark upon your on journey from star to star, galaxy to galaxy. An entirely relaxing and transcendental mood falls over you particularly on tracks like Bathyal Depths, Orion's Field and Drifting. When you drift off you can almost feel your body lifting. It reminds me of Michael Stearn's Encounters album, which is my absolute favorite of the "Hearts of Space" genre. Though this is somewhat lighter it is none the less as nebulous.

A Rapturous Cosmic Journey

There are a myriad of "Space Music" artists at play now. Certainly, Jonn Serrie has led the way and continues to grace us with his astral works of universal beauty. Yet, this album (as with all of Teleomere's music releases) charts its own path and allows the listener to immerse themselves into aural bliss along the way. A highlight for me is "Orion's Field', the longest piece herein. It has a majestic compendium of soundscapes and melodies that simply swirl around you, even without the need for 5.1 channels. Not a weak composition is to be found on "Stellar Seas", and you most likely will find yourself coming back to attain all of this artist's incredible catalog.
