Album Review

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are a good example of a group that has become little more than a brand name as its various members devote more of their time to solo projects. Thug World Order is only their fourth proper album in seven years, although many solo albums and recordings by other configurations have emerged during the period. By now, however, every album by the group seems like a reunion effort, their last one being dubbed BTNHResurrection, while, on this album, one of the members mutters, "I ain't gonna say we back, 'cause we never left...." The group's musical approach hasn't changed much, its raps offset by vocal harmonies and its musical beds anchored by samples as surprising as Phil Collins' "Take Me Home." Lyrically, their concerns are also much the same, extending from boasting and reflections on life in the 'hood to complaints about low-quality drugs ("Bad Weed Blues") and the duplicitousness of women with whom they have had sex ("Not My Baby").

underrated apparently

man i guess people don't like this cd as much as i do. there are plenty of great songs...Home(first 2 verses are 2 of my favorite from any song ever), Get Up & Get It, Guess Who's Back, What About Us?, Money, Money, Cleveland is the they're all great songs. But this, especially if you're a true Bone Thug fan

worst of the best

dont get me wrong this is a great cd but compared to their other stuff id put this at the bottom of the list of their cds only because one of them has to be at the bottom at the end of this is a little convo with flesh who is servin time (out this fall cant wait for him to get back in the studio with his trues ) solid cd its true that their style hasnt changed from their CREEPIN days but when you this good you dont need to change as always they speak from the heart and deliver a great cd

I love it

money money, home, Bone Bone Bone, Pump Pump, Get Up and Get It, Bad Weed Blues are my fav

Formed: 1993 in Cleveland, OH

Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Graced with a quick and sometimes sung delivery, along with a unique sense of melody, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony burst out of Cleveland, Ohio in the mid-'90s with a pair of massive hits ("Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "Tha Crossroads") along with a great first album, as well as a successful follow-up, and then quickly unraveled. Mainstream interest dropped off toward the tail end of the '90s, but the group, which underwent a series of lineup changes, continued to release new material via mixtapes and albums...
