Album Review

Black Lab's debut album, Your Body Above Me, is an odd juxtaposition of earnest, heavy-rocking post-grunge with the moodiness of goth-rock. At times, the band develops a brooding yet propulsive sound that's actually quite intriguing. Lead singer/songwriter Paul Durham has trouble coming up with memorable songs, but he's pushed his band in the right musical direction. The best moments on Your Body Above Me have an alluring, dark charm that makes up for the occasional awkwardness while suggesting that Black Lab could develop into something distinctive in their own right.

This album is amazing each song gets better and better.

Incredible

I bought this album when it came out after hearing about two songs. Almost ten years later, it is still a great album. Every song is outstanding. In my opinion, Black Lab is a very underrated band.

One of the best albums

This album was given to me by my father about 8 years ago. I still own the same CD today. I consider it one of my most prized CDs in my colection. This is one of the best albums I have ever heard by any band.
