Wow, These Guys Were Great...

Chris Hillman did not roll over and die when he turned 50. He just kept putting out great Country & Western music. The knock I heard on the radio about this band was that they were too good. As if putting out excellent Country & Western music was a crime. Thank you for respecting the music and your fans by doing it right, Chris, John & Herb. My favorite here is "Time Passes Me By", although "Story Of Love" got the most radio airplay.

A Great Part of Country's Boom

My favorite DRB album, rich sound with gorgeous harmonys. Saw them in NJ around 1988, and still sound good today.

A contemporary vehicle for country-rock pioneer Chris Hillman (ex-Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers), the Desert Rose Band formed in 1985 with primary songwriter Hillman on lead vocals, guitar, and mandolin.
