A Blend of Sounds

The original tracks themselves are, for my money, a little mellow compared to what I had expected: trancy, mellow, heavy on synth and low on shaking it. They're not bad - Cosmicity are very talented - but they weren't what I'd hoped for. That said, the remixes alone are worth the price of admission. Take a little Erasure, a little Depeche Mode and a little something harder than either of those, put them through a juicer and chill the results and you'll get the remixes. Highly recommended.


Cosmicity has really done a good job on this one. They aren't really Industrial or Dance. Their unique blend of beats and lyrics can be played in both Goth and Trance clubs.

Cosmicity is not a band; it's merely one person. Mark Nicholas, the only member of Cosmicity, attended the University of Michigan School of Music in the early '90s. Before Cosmicity, Nicholas was involved with various groups, one of which was a Top 40 outfit called Backdoor that utilized four female backup vocalists.
