Album Review

The fifth studio long player from the Phoenix, Arizona-based Christian metalcore/post-hardcore unit, the Fearless Records-issued To Those Left Behind finds Blessthefall working once again with producer Joey Sturgis (Of Mice & Men, Asking Alexandria), who took the helm of the group's chart-topping 2013 release Hollow Bodies. In the press release, frontman Beau Boken declared that "With this new album we've taken a giant fu**ing leap forward and are at our absolute best as musicians and songwriters. The 11-track set features the singles "Up in Flames" and "Walk on Water."

Let's be real here

As a huge BTF fan for about 8 years, I can honestly say this is their worst record. Firstly, the production is awful. Secondly, it seems like BTF has stuck as close as they could to the generic metalcore formula they are familiar with and did not push their boundaries whatsoever. Very recycled, very weak lyrically and completely void of creativity. This band used to be one of my favorites to listen to and i'd still see them live but this album is simply a weak effort. Maybe they should've taken another year to make music.

For realz these guys know how to rock out

Cheezits H. Christ! BlessthebadA's are at it again. They are the ONLY band I can listen to EVERY song and NEVER get bored of them. It was a no brainer to preorder at warped and download on ITUNES. I even bought my buddies copy for him. Love it guys... I LOVE IT

Still the awesome tight, technical blessthefall. However for me this album just lacked the awesomeness the last three albums had. Still a great listen, just might be missing some heart.

A Christian-oriented screamo quintet with some hip-hop and nu metal influences, blessthefall started in Phoenix, Arizona, when high-school friends Mike Frisby and Matt Traynor began practicing together in 2002. Guitarist Frisby and drummer Traynor found singer Craig Mabbitt and bassist Jared Warth on the local baby-band circuit and formed blessthefall in early 2004. Following a self-released three-song demo in the summer of 2005, guitarist Eric Lambert completed the final lineup of the band. An increased...
