Best kept secret

When you wonder where brit pop is or has been since the mighty Smiths, Chameleons and Stone Roses, you can only reflect on a few, unfortuntely. Gene being one and Marion being the other. These two bands signified what brit pop is: heartache, addition to life and it's vices and the city and/or world we live in. Gene, sad to say has called it quits, and went their seperate ways SO Marion must carry the heavy torch. Marion, on the other hand, was and is highly anticipated and still very respected in their homeland as well the underground many here in the States. They caught the eye of guitar legend and Smiths co-pilot Johnny Marr, which in turn created they're sophmore effort, The Program. So that being said, they obviously aren't just toying with the idea of making great music-in some retrospect, mine for example, they have more than achieved it. Jamie, Marion's lead vocalist has delt with some health issues (last we were informed through the band site on the unamed MECCA of music and minds - __Space) so a new album continues to simply be talk as of now, but definately on it's way. This old glimpse of them is simply a taste, so partake and enjoy, for our hope of more angst and glimmering guitar driven pop is lingering on the vocals and fingertips of these mates! With much love and respect I reflect.

Strong hints of older rock & roll crept in as well, from the Beatles to the Buzzcocks, making for a sometimes...
