Customer Reviews

Very exciting, rocking songs that all give the listener a feel for the mid 19th century during the Civil War. Songs like "The Drift", "Keeping From The Dead", and "Sugar Shack" all are high-energy, catchy songs that easily stand out among the album. The second half slows down a bit, but are still very power, storytelling songs such as "Willards" and "Wilderness". Completely worth getting, with no dollar wasted. The band even put all the lyrics up on their website,, which makes it even better.

Smart Rock and Roll

Usually albums this intellectual don't rock, but Today, I Died is the exception. It's got loads of swirling rock and roll guitars and a hard driving rhythm section. Also added to the mix in some songs are mandolin and banjo, but they add to the rockin sound. There are some slower songs in there as well but even they have a rock edge. The guitar solo in Desperate Farm is an excellent example of this. I really enjoyed Today, I Died. Hopefully it's just the beginning for the Streams.

Rarely do I ever buy full albums on iTunes, but this is definitely the exception. This album has everything I like, from chill to lively. If you buy any album at all in your entire life, make it this one. Frickin' sweet.
