To begin, I know the bass player of this group on a personal level so I thought that I would give this new single a try. I'm going to be completely honest, because I feel that criticism in all forms (good or bad) is necessary for growth in any band. So, let's begin. I feel that there are some good ideas at work. I have no doubt in the talent that AC possess, but I don't believe that they are striving for their potential. The song is stylistically in the vain of modern rock bands. The difference is that AC have separated themselves with a female vocalist. Not to worry though, AC's vocalist proves that she is capable of floaty melodies and finesse. However, I do feel that she plays it very safe on this single. I would like to hear more of her exploring her range. The guitar playing is standard fair and won't necessarily impress, but it keeps the song going. I can't tell you what the bass sounds like as I am unable to hear it in the mix. TURN UP THE BASS. Lastly, the drums lack fluidity, groove, and punch. They are standard fair as well. Now, with all of this, I'm not trying to put down AC, I'm just giving my feelings and criticisms in hopes that they might see it and say, "Okay, maybe we should improve this, expound on this, and maybe add some of this, etc..". I really do believe that there is potential, but there needs to be risks taken. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. 2/5.
