Customer Reviews

This album is awesome!

This album is awesome. Dave stamey is one of the best Western singers around. This music is not wannabe cowboy music, it is cowboy music. -Buckaroo Man

Excellent singer & song writer

This was the first Dave Stamey cd I bought. He's got a strong voice and uses it well. The standout tracks for me are Tonopah, The Vaquero Song, The Border Affair (frequently listed as "Spanish is the Loving Tongue" such as on Emmy Lou's album) and The Circle. All of the songs are a good listen. I think Dave will inherit Don Edwards' position as Western music's preeminent crooner in time.

The REAL Deal

Dave Stamey has got to be one of the best, if not the best "Western" music writers to come around in a long long time.A great poet and music man;he's a throwback to the times of Gene Autry,Bob Wills.or The Sons of the Pioneers. His songs are current but with the sounds of the Old West. They just don't make them like that anymore.

Genre: Country

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Stamey does the same thing, only as a musician. His songs capture the life of the modern cowboy in a world of rapid transition, where some things change constantly...
