Album Review

Back on their own territory and producing their own records, this is a similar album to Tongue Twister. [A live EP, Shoes on Ice, which came with the initial pressing of the album, has now been added to the CD version.]

SHOES pioneered so many trails in the POP music early days - they deserve to be in the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame - no questiones asked. Boomerang/SHOES On Ice offers pathways into the labyrinth of POP masterpeices - including the hallmark "Too Late" LIVE! (the studio version was one of the first ever videos aired on MTV - the once mighty music forum). SHOES music personifies "how-to-write" a POP song - evident with a few clicks below and to the right. "The Tube" is so profound in lyric alone - it ends up trailing behind itself! Hooks - fuzzy guitars - fantastic harmonies - behold a cornicopia of "Supermarket Power Pop!" Every isle delights, every shelf packed with color and content. Do yourself a favor - "check out" everything SHOES offers on iTunes! You will need a big cart - they have never stopped putting out the product - true to the genuine craftsman SHOES still are today!! I flat love them . . .
