On their first full-length in 19 years, these blackened Swedish thrashers race through 13 songs; only galloping opener “Still the Elite,” drum-rolling insult “Scumbag,” and cat-scratch-fevered closer “All of the Decadence, None of the Success” exceed three minutes. Every cut is fast and dirt-caked, somewhere between Venom and Motörhead, and Mr. Violence spews them all with a voice full of gravel. That said, with songs like “Let’s Fall Off the Wagon” and “We Stole Your Song,” nobody can accuse Gehennah of taking themselves too seriously.
