Decent

This record is a collection of demos and out takes recorded before Collett's first official release Moter Motel Love Songs. In my opinion Collett made a giant leap both in songwriting and production when he recorded Idols of Exile. These songs are lacking the personality and production of Idols of Exile, which is likely due to the fact his BSS band mates were not in on the recordings. Even still, these are decent songs that showcase the talent of this amazing artist and worth downloading. Looking foward to his next official release.

Toronto native Jason Collett has earned accolades for his solo albums and tenure with several different bands -- most notably Broken Social Scene -- but it was his association with fellow songwriter Andrew Cash that first garnered him critical acclaim. After performing in the Andrew Cash Band during the late '80s and early '90s, Collett joined up with Ursula, an alternative rock spinoff of Cash's previous group.
